Since every parcel is taxed now, of course everything got a bit more expensive, but it seems in the end it turns out that the amount of customs confiscations has gone down significantly.
It's basically what I've been saying all along, just pay the extra buck and customs isn't a worry. Only now you can pay beforehand, and don't have to wait for them to come to you, which makes the process easier and quicker.
The bottom line is, it got more expensive but smoother and less risky.
